High Res Specialise in Lighting, Projection & Multi-disciplinary Interactive Systems for the Live & TV Markets

High Resolution Lighting Ltd was formed in 1997 and is headed up by Lighting Designer Peter Canning. Dublin based, High Res is primarily a design company specialising in creative and technical delivery of lighting, projection and multi-disciplinary interactive systems, for the live and television markets.  An independent lighting design company, not tied to any particular hardware suppliers, we have extensive experience in working both in Ireland and internationally.

We provide lighting design and programming expertise alone, or can integrate a full lighting and visual package to include renders, equipment hire, LED screen hire and experienced crew – lighting technicians, lighting programmers, media server operators, video technicians and customised graphic content creators.

Utilising our Catalyst Media Servers, we have a proven track record of merging LED video systems with lighting design for the largest TV shows in the country. Our skills include realistic design integration and management of a variety of disciplines, while successfully working within physical, budgetary and logistical constraints. We have successfully implemented design, production and support services on some of the largest events both in Ireland and internationally.

With 18 years experience under our belt, the projects that we have worked on are vast and varied, ranging from studio based television work in a controlled environment to outdoor projection work, battling with the elements of wind, rain and shine. Of late we have produced various 3D building projection projects – our detailed project management has allowed seamless delivery of these types of events from concept to the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the infrastructural reality. Creative lighting design can transform buildings and spaces into temporary art installations.

Design Services – As well as providing a solid office base for project management, our facility also has a CAD suite with WYSIWYG, the latest lighting and event computer simulation system. This system allows complete 3D visualisations to be created and forms the backbone of our design process allowing clients to see exactly what their event will look like, pre-show. We are the only company in the country who have invested heavily in this system, which is now a standard in international markets.
